designs waste processing facilities for:
One facility we designed for municipal solid-waste transfer
and refuse-derived-fuel storage included a building with precast
concrete walls and steel truss roof; office; sorting floor;
truck scales; compactor; and parking lot. Push walls, concrete
and steel wear and corrosion resistance, cleaning and health
code issues, ventilation, and containment of the fire-sprinkler-system
water were all critical parts of the design.
