Water:
Pumping Systems
Barr has been designing pumping systems
for clients across the Midwest for more than 30 years. We
design pumps for:
- Flood
and stormwater control systems
- Water
and wastewater treatment facilities
- Mine
dewatering
- Municipal
water distribution systems
- Industrial
and municipal wastewater collection systems
- Industrial
cooling facilities
These projects range from small hot-water-heat-distribution
systems to a 135,000-gallon-per-minute flood control system,
from small submersible lift stations to large at-grade pumping
station complexes. Our projects include the design of numerous
amusement-park water rides with pump stations ranging in size
from 30,000 to 210,000 gallons per minute, as well as disinfection
and filtration facilities.
Barr's work also includes wastewater collection
and clean-water-distribution piping networks of all sizes.
Our pumping experts work closely with Barr's hydraulic, structural,
geotechnical, and electrical engineers to provide clients
with complete engineering solutions for their pumping projects.
We have experience with many types of pumps, including:
- Positive
displacement
- Centrifugal
- Chemical-feed
pumps
- Submersible
- Line
shaft
- Close-coupled
- Mixed
flow
- Axial
flow
- Horizontal
- Slurry
- Grinder
- Screw
