People at Barr think its a great place to work,
but were not the only ones who think so. In 2002,
2004, 2005, and 2006, CE News chose Barr as one of the
top 50 civil engineering firms in the U.S. to work for.
The magazine bases its selection on employee opinions
regarding the firms management, reputation, work
climate, professional development opportunities, compensation
and benefits package, etc. Read the 2006
CE News article.
In addition, the Business Journal (Minneapolis-St.
Paul) selected Barr four times as one of a handful of
"Best Places to Work" in the Twin Cities.
The field of competitors included public and private
companies and nonprofit organizations, ranging in size
from 10 to over 19,000 employees. Barr was selected
based on employee survey responses as well as on benefits
we provide. In 2007, we ranked seventh in the medium-size-companies
category (101-1,000 employees).

The survey results that earned us these awards show
that Barr employees are especially proud of the high
quality of our work and of the trustworthiness, openness,
and high level of integrity seen in the companys
management.
We intend to keep it that way.
