Md Fyaz Sadiq

Headshot of Md Fyaz Sadiq
Fyaz has over five years of geotechnical engineering experience in both practical applications and academic research. His expertise encompasses various areas, including soil stabilization, dam and tailings facility design, in-situ geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring, and data management and processing. He has a specific background in slope and embankment stability analysis, geosynthetics, geomaterial characterization, moisture management, and freeze–thaw resilience design. In addition, Fyaz is adept at numerical modeling, using software such as FLAC, GeoStudio, and PLAXIS. His research contributions have covered topics on geomaterial behavior, soil stabilization, freeze–thaw mitigation, and drainage improvement in cold climates. Fyaz also serves on the Frost Geotechnics Technical Committee of the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE) and the Geosynthetics Technical Committee of the ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineers) Geo-Institute.
