Blaine Renkas

Blaine Renkas

Blaine applies his more than 35 years of environmental management experience to assisting resource-development and other industrial clients with projects involving environmental assessment and permitting, regulatory compliance, and conservation and reclamation. His career provides him with extensive knowledge of environmental-impact assessment and analysis; provincial and federal regulatory-approval processes; and issues related to waste management and air, soil, and water quality.

His 25-year background in the mining industry, where he focused on leading comprehensive reclamation projects, demonstrates his commitment to sustainable practices. His industry work encompassed all aspects of conservation and reclamation, from end-land-use planning and native seeding to reclamation certification for extensive areas of mined land.

Since joining Barr in 2015, Blaine has managed multiple fugitive-greenhouse-gas-monitoring programs for oil-sands and coal-mining clients, as well as environmental-site-assessment and -investigation projects in Calgary and Edmonton.
