As president and CEO of Barr since 2021, Ward guides efforts to evolve our strategy, structure, and geographic footprint so we’ll continue to meet the needs of clients, communities, and staff for years to come.
As a chemist and environmental scientist, Ward has experience helping industry and regulatory authorities solve complex analytical issues related to protecting and restoring the environment. His expertise encompasses geochemical analysis; hydrocarbon fingerprinting; low-level mercury analysis; dioxin and furan analysis; and chemicals of concern, such as per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and 1,4-dioxane.
In addition, he has led work in environmental data quality assurance and quality control; laboratory regulation and certification; analytical methodologies; and internal database quality. Ward has served in a variety of management roles at Barr and previously co-founded a successful startup technology company.
