Hossein Kheirkhah Gildeh joins Barr as water resources engineer

Barr Engineering and Environmental Science Canada recently welcomed Hossein Kheirkhah Gildeh, P.Eng., as a water resources engineer in its Calgary office.

Hossein brings more than eight years of experience in dynamic water resources engineering projects involving river engineering, mine water management, renewable energy, dam breach analysis for water and tailings dams, coastal engineering, hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) modelling, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modelling and design (from conceptual to detailed design).

He has experience managing water resources projects for both public and private clients in Canada and beyond. At Barr, he will provide technical and project management leadership for H&H projects, supporting Barr’s growing number of clients in this area.

Hossein has a master's degree of applied science in civil engineering with a concentration in water resources engineering from the University of Ottawa, where he is currently pursuing his PhD in the same discipline. Since 2019, he has served as a sessional instructor at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) and the University of Ottawa.
