Mountain biking documentary to premiere at Redhead Mountain Bike Park

On July 22, the Redhead Mountain Bike Park will be hosting an outdoor recreation-themed event to celebrate the Midwest debut of the documentary Biketown, produced by Freehub Magazine and featuring Chisholm, Minnesota, and Redhead Mountain Bike Park. The documentary highlights the relationship between mountain bikers and the land that is essential to their sport. Barr will have a booth set up at the event to answer questions about our role on the project and how we assist with mine closure and reclamation to help local communities and the natural world.

Built on an inactive mine pit, the park consists of 25 miles of world-class mountain biking trails. Barr worked with the City of Chisholm and the Iron Range Resources and Rehabilitation Board to provide conceptual design, environmental review services, and permitting assistance for the park. You can learn more about the Redhead Mountain Bike Park project on our website.

The event will take place at the Minnesota Discovery Center in Chisholm, near the park. You can buy a ticket to attend the premiere on their Eventbrite site. All proceeds will be donated directly to the Iron Range Off-Road Cyclists to support mountain bike trail maintenance.
