For more than 25 years, Craig has been contributing his expertise in geographic information systems (GIS) to benefit projects involving environmental investigations; dredge-material characterizations and risk assessments; regulatory support studies and models for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA); and health research. He has worked with a wide variety of spatial data from field sampling and remediation efforts, including data from the EPA, U.S. Geological Survey, U.S. Census Bureau, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, National Marine Fisheries Service, state departments of natural resources, and other federal, state, and local agencies. Craig is experienced in developing maps that visualize site conditions and compare and analyze site data. He has created geographic analyses and maps for environmental reports, decision support, presentations, and GIS demonstrations. Craig is also experienced in establishing GIS standards and practices, including data organization and workflows, cartographic templates, and communication and documentation, to produce reliable geographic analyses and cartographic results. Craig’s background also includes serving as a lecturer at both Buffalo State College and the State University of New York at Buffalo, as well as working as a cultural resource management archaeologist in the southeastern United States for several years.
