Eric has more than 35 years of experience with air dispersion modeling, ambient air monitoring, meteorology, fugitive-dust generation and transport, and statistical analysis of environmental data. His dispersion modeling project experience ranges from simple screening analyses to modeling for complex PSD applications involving long-range transport, PSD increment consumption and expansion, visibility, air toxics, and deposition. His work encompasses preparing and negotiating dispersion modeling protocols, using GIS programs, calculating emissions, and presenting results, as well as analyzing ambient-air and meteorological data and “what if” scenarios.
Eric’s project work includes conducting modeling for Minnesota's taconite processing facilities to comply with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency's dispersion-modeling requirements for the long-term strategy portion of the regional-haze state implementation plan. He has also conducted dispersion modeling for Environmental Impact Statements and air permit applications for mining, energy, refining, and forest-products clients.
