Marcy Bean

Marcy has two decades of experience in innovative stormwater management in urban environments along with native landscape design. Passionate about integrating green infrastructure into public spaces, Marcy’s work ranges from master planning and stakeholder facilitation to placemaking and park design, all through a natural resources lens. Her work has involved ecosystem restoration, stormwater BMP design, inspections, and maintenance. Prior to joining Barr, Marcy managed capital projects and supported community-based efforts to manage stormwater at the Mississippi Watershed Management Organization.

Marcy has over two decades of experience designing places where people engage with natural resources. Passionate about integrating green infrastructure into public spaces, Marcy’s work ranges from master planning and stakeholder facilitation to placemaking and park design, all through a natural-resources lens.  She has broad experience in design of innovative stormwater management, specializing in stacking infrastructure to meet numerous project goals.
