For more than 10 years, Nicolas has applied his expertise in geographic information systems (GIS) to support environmental investigations, sediment assessments, and natural resource damage evaluations (NRDAs) for both private- and public-sector clients. His work includes geospatial analysis, data visualization, and GIS database management for projects involving contaminated sediment sites, marine terminals, and former industrial facilities. Nicolas has worked with a wide range of spatial and analytical chemistry data, including data from field sampling efforts, laboratories, and government agencies such as NOAA and the U.S. EPA. He is experienced in creating static and interactive maps to visualize site conditions, support decision-making, and communicate findings to stakeholders. His technical skills include interpolations, data and geostatistical analysis, and web map development using ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Experience Builder. Nicolas also supports GIS data QA/QC processes and the development of online mapping portals to facilitate data sharing and stakeholder engagement.
