Ward Swanson

Ward has more than 25 years of experience with environmental analytical chemistry, data quality assurance, and quality control. He helps industry and regulatory authorities solve complex analytical issues related to the preservation and restoration of the environment. Ward is a nationally recognized expert on laboratory regulations, analytical methodology, and internal database quality. He often coordinates with laboratories to implement specialty analyses for unique site conditions. Examples of his work include geochemical analysis, hydrocarbon fingerprinting, low-level mercury analysis, dioxin and furan analysis, and emerging chemicals of environmental concern such as per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and 1,4-dioxane.
