Adam Howard

Water Resources Engineer

Adam Howard has over five years of experience working on stormwater, flood mitigation, stream restoration, and mine water management projects. He conducts stormwater best management practice (BMP) modeling, feasibility studies, design, permitting, and cost estimation for industrial clients. Adam has worked with industrial clients in the mining, power, fuels, and transportation sectors to develop creative stormwater solutions that meet permitting goals while minimizing impacts to existing site uses. He developed guidance for the use of permeable pavement and design of BMPs in restricted areas for the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency’s minimal impact design standards (MIDS) project. While at the University of Minnesota, Adam conducted research on the effectiveness of standard sumps and hydrodynamic separators in removing particulate from stormwater.
