Nathan Brandner

Senior Geologist

Nathan Brandner has 11 years of experience in soil and groundwater investigation, geology, and geophysics. He has knowledge of a variety of sampling techniques and investigative drilling methods—including laser-induced fluorescence, Geoprobe, hollow-stem auger, rotosonic, air rotary, and mud rotary—as well as aquifer-testing techniques and geophysical investigation methods—including electromagnetic induction, ground penetrating radar, electrical resistivity, seismic refraction, and multichannel analysis of surface waves. Nathan also has experience in geotechnical field investigations and report and proposal writing. His work at Barr encompasses brownfield services including Phase I environmental site assessments and Phase II field investigation and reporting, pipeline construction and restoration services including permitting and right-of-way post-construction soil damage assessment, soil and groundwater sampling at manufactured-gas-plant sites in Michigan and Illinois, and geotechnical investigations for wind projects throughout the U.S. and Canada.
