Omid Mohseni

Senior Water Resources Engineer

Omid Mohseni has nearly 25 years of experience in the design and analysis of hydraulic structures, open-channel hydraulics, hydrologic modeling of watersheds, hydrodynamic modeling of rivers and lakes, and underground stormwater best management practices (BMPs). He has conducted physical model studies of intakes, spillways, and stilling basins as well as modeling and analysis of erosion and scour processes in river systems. Currently serving as an adjunct associate professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Minnesota, he has been teaching hydrology, open-channel flow, hydraulic structures, and fluid mechanics since 1999. Omid has published 22 articles in refereed journals on hydrology, stream and runoff temperature, climate change effects, dissolved oxygen dynamics in lakes, and stormwater BMPs.
