Rob Osburn

Vice President, Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Rob Osburn has more than a decade of geotechnical engineering and project management experience, primarily serving the mining and power industries in the United States and Canada. For mining clients, he has provided prefeasibility-level site reconnaissance, pit and spoil-pile highway-stability assessments, haul-road design, and strength assessments of ultra-soft tailings. He has also conducted research and development work associated with tailings disposal technologies.

In the power industry, Rob’s work includes geotechnical condition assessments for aging coal-fired power plants and liquefaction assessments for existing hydroelectric facilities as well as management of large-scale geotechnical investigations for wind- and solar-power developments, biomass facilities, and pump-storage projects. He has served as a geotechnical engineer on over 50 renewable energy projects.
