Rachael Shetka, Paul Fraser, and Brent Theroux join Barr

Barr adds a senior environmental specialist in Duluth, a senior ecologist in Calgary, and a senior geotechnical engineer in Minneapolis.

Senior environmental specialist Rachael Shetka joins Barr with more than 16 years of experience as a regulatory compliance specialist and environmental engineer for permitting and construction projects. Her work has focused on project efficiency and on environmental compliance for pipeline expansion and maintenance projects. 

Paul Fraser is a senior ecologist who joins Barr with over 25 years of experience as a wildlife biologist in northern and western Canada. His work has focused on planning and conducting wildlife and wildlife habitat baseline investigations for infrastructure, oil and gas developments, and proposed mining projects, with an emphasis on federal, provincial, and territorial species of management concern. 

Brent Theroux, PE, senior geotechnical engineer, joins Barr with over 16 years of experience. He has managed design projects and conducted geotechnical investigations and analyses of slope stability, bearing capacity, dewatering, soil corrections, landslides, foundations, and rock excavations. Brent’s most recent design projects involved column-supported embankments, load-transfer platforms, rock excavations, rockfall catchment, and embankment and structure instrumentation and monitoring.
