Getting our start

Barr’s Fort Collins office opened in May 2023 with the acquisition of Exponential Engineering Company, an electrical engineering firm specializing in power delivery services, including substation, transmission and distribution, microgrid, interconnection, protective relay and SCADA design, and power system modeling and analysis. Our integrated team of engineers, scientists, and technical specialists provide integrated engineering and environmental services to clients in the power, fuels, mining, manufacturing, and public sectors throughout Colorado and across the Rocky Mountain region.

Serving our clients

Our Fort Collins staff members are active participants in professional organizations such as the RMEL, Colorado Rural Electric Association, and Colorado Association of Municipal Utilities. From transmission and substations to air permitting and compliance, Barr’s engineering and environmental experience and diverse projects help clients solve complex challenges and navigate new opportunities.
