Hal Runke

Hal has over four decades of experience in water quality management. His work includes assessing water quality impacts, writing surface water management plans, developing comprehensive lake management plans, conducting water quality diagnostic-feasibility studies, overseeing environmental impact statement (EIS) development, and performing public education and outreach. Hal has led numerous use attainability analyses (UAA) and total maximum daily load (TMDL) studies for watersheds and their receiving waters. He has overseen multiple treatment projects to control Eurasian watermilfoil, curly-leaf pondweed, and zebra mussels in Minnesota and Wisconsin lakes. In addition to his client work, Hal taught and conducted research at Utah State University and the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point.
