Tony has nearly 15 years of experience helping clients achieve compliance with air-quality and other environmental regulations. Over the past few years, he has been instrumental to the growth of Barr’s environmental team in Duluth, specifically air permitting and compliance for the fuels industry. He is part of the team that developed Barr Tank Emission Calculation Spreadsheet (BTECS), a Microsoft Excel-based tool designed to calculate emissions from storage tanks.
In addition to his focus on serving fuel sites such as petroleum pipeline terminals and refineries, Tony also provides services for taconite mines, ethanol plants, wood and paper producers, and manufacturing facilities. His work involves performing environmental audits, due diligence reviews, and stationary-source evaluations; providing environmental integration and compliance support; developing compliance management plans and systems; and preparing permit applications and notifications required to site and construct new facilities and expand existing facilities. He also provides on-site, multimedia, environmental-compliance support.
