Upcoming aquifer storage and recovery (ASR) presentations

The City of Provo, Utah, has experienced rapid population growth in recent years, and due to increased water demands and climate changes, groundwater levels have been declining. In 2019, Barr began working with the city to perform an extensive aquifer storage and recovery (ASR) study and implementation of future ASR projects.

Jeff Davis, a senior hydrogeologist and project manager for the Provo ASR project, will be at two events this May focused on future ASR and water use. First, on May 5 at 11:00 a.m., Jeff will present “Provo, Utah from Planning to Pilot to a Final Managed Aquifer Recharge (MAR) Program” at ASR for Texas. Then, on May 18 at 11:00 a.m., Jeff will present “Provo Aquifer Storage & Recovery” at the Utah Water Users Workshop. Click here to learn more and register for this in-person event in St. George, Utah.
