Jim has been working in the fields of water resources management and environmental investigation and remediation since 1980. He has been involved in the investigation and remediation of sites with soil, groundwater, surface water, and sediment issues. Jim’s water management experience includes preparing prepared stormwater management plans, conducting lake and river flood studies and drainage and erosion studies, and designing stormwater management systems. Since 2007, he has worked on oil sands tailings projects, including the characterization of emissions from tailings, drying and strengthening fine tailings, developing innovative tailings intake and deposition systems, and planning for tailings basin reclamation.
