Russ has more than 15 years of experience using geological information to understand site conditions and make recommendations for mining projects. He has experience planning and executing investigations for new mine development, existing operations, and grounds failures. Russ has worked on projects from the pre-feasibility stage through mining, this included the interpretation and analysis of geologic data to develop practical solutions for stable designs that mitigate geohazard risks. Additionally, Russ has implemented inspections and monitoring systems to understand soil and rock behavior. Russ’s background is founded on over 13 years of on-site, operational mining geotechnical experience on the Carlin Trend in northern Nevada.
