Small-town charm
People love living in Bismarck for its family-friendly neighborhoods, small-town feel, and accessibility of outdoor activities such as biking, hiking, kayaking, fishing, and hunting. Set along the Missouri River, North Dakota’s capital city is quickly growing thanks to its strong economy, making it not only a great place to live but also a great place to work.
Getting our start
Barr’s Bismarck office opened in 2008, serving clients in North and South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, and Saskatchewan. Our well-rounded team of engineers and scientists represents a variety of disciplines such as mechanical, mining, structural, civil, and environmental engineering. With a deep local perspective, we help clients navigate challenges, like a cold-weather climate, unique to the upper Midwest.
Active in our community
Our Bismarck staff are members of professional societies such as the North Dakota Petroleum Council, North Dakota Water User Association, Bismarck Mandan Chamber of Commerce, North Dakota Geological Society, Lignite Energy Council, and American Council of Engineering Companies of North Dakota. We care about our community and participate in service activities with organizations like Gateway to Science and Toys for Tots North Dakota.
