Barr hosts MnDRIVE mini-symposium on advances in biological water treatment

April 26, 2017

In late April, Barr hosted a symposium for water-treatment industry representatives and University of Minnesota scientists and engineers from Minnesota’s Discovery, Research, and InnoVation Economy (MnDRIVE) program. Researchers presented on topics that included biological treatment of wastewater for sulfate removal, reduction of hydrogen sulfide emissions from high-strength wastewater, and bioreactors for removing nitrate from agricultural runoff.

MnDRIVE is a partnership program that aligns University of Minnesota research with emerging industries to address technological challenges. The group’s environmental initiative focuses on using science and technology to solve environmental challenges and increase the efficiency of water resources. Click here to learn more about MnDRIVE.
