Profile Picture

Fred Rozumalski is a registered landscape architect with experience in landscape architecture, ecology, horticulture, and native-landscape design and restoration. His projects are designed to work with nature to create economically viable, low-maintenance landscapes that support a diversity of plants and animals while meeting the needs of the people who inhabit them. Fred frequently lectures on ecologically sound landscape design. His project work has included providing sustainable landscape design for college and municipal campuses, residential developments, and several demonstration projects for state and local governmental agencies. He has also led teams that provide ecological planning and native-plant restoration for city neighborhoods, parks, and university and business-park campuses. Fred's designs for alternative stormwater-management systems for municipal, industrial, and non-profit clients have included best management practices (BMPs) such as rainwater gardens, pervious pavement, and underground storage.
